Cookies and local storage let a website remember simple choices and, with permission, measure aggregate use. Dwell Calm separates storage needed for basic preferences from optional analytics.

Essential local storage

Dwell Calm stores the consent choice under dwellcalm_cookie_choice and may store the selected light or dark theme under dwellcalm_theme. These preferences only remember how you want the site to behave.

Optional analytics

If you choose “Accept analytics,” the site loads Google Analytics to understand aggregate page visits, referrers, device types, and navigation patterns. This helps identify broken pages and improve guides. Analytics does not load when “Essential only” is selected.

Third-party links

Guides may link to independent reference websites. A third party may use its own cookies after you follow a link; Dwell Calm does not control storage on other websites.

Managing your choices

• Select “Essential only” or “Accept analytics” in the banner.
• Clear site data for dwellcalm.com to reset the banner choice.
• Block or delete cookies and local storage in browser settings.
• Use browser privacy controls or extensions to restrict analytics.

How long choices are kept

The local-storage choice remains until you clear site data or the browser removes it. Analytics retention is controlled in the Google Analytics account and may also be limited by your browser settings.

Changes to this policy

This policy will be updated when analytics, advertising, consent tools, or legal requirements materially change.
